MoCA for Satellite

Satellite service providers are turning to MoCA to provide advanced whole-home entertainment and information services. MaxLinear is the inventor of MoCA, and the company’s MoCA 2.0 for Satellite solutions deliver maximum MAC throughput to up to 16 devices in the home – enough bandwidth to support multiple and simultaneous HD video streams with throughput remaining for a high-speed data backbone. The solutions supports MOCA band H, a special satellite version of MoCA that allows for coexistence with DBS IF signals down to 1250 MHz and ISDB-T terrestrial TV signals that are sometimes used to provide access to local TV stations.

G.hn For Satellite

G.hn technology is a great fit for satellite service providers who have adopted IP distribution and are quickly rolling out new data services. With G.hn, these providers can deliver home networking with data rates up to 2 Gbps and can utilize a wide range of cabling – coax, phone lines/unshielded twisted pair, powerline and plastic optical fiber – to  build networks in homes or apartments that don’t have existing Ethernet wiring.
