MaxLinear’s wireless transceivers, clocks and timing products enable 4G and 5G wireless access. MaxLinear radio equipment transceivers are highly integrated, low-power RFICs for wideband radio modules operating in the 400MHz to 6GHz frequency range. UniTX™ and UNiRX™ are families of highly integrated, low-power transmitter and receiver RFICs that address the performance requirements of 3GPP and 3GPP2 macro base station radio transceivers and support multiple standards such as MC-GSM, cdma2000®, WCDMA, and LTE.

MaxLinear’s clock and timing products including the SyntheCLK™ family of devices provide multi-output clock generation and distribution using a cascaded phase-locked loop (PLL) architecture with programmable dividers and clock drivers. The Jitter Attenuator (JAT) PLL filters jitter on the incoming reference clock and synchronizes the external voltage-controlled crystal oscillator (VCXO). By cascading the Clock Synthesizer PLL with the JAT PLL, this architecture provides clean output clocks using a low cost, low frequency VCXO which is ideal for wireless base station applications requiring highly integrated, low-power clocking solutions.

Microwave & Mm-Wave Backhaul And Fronthaul

MaxLinear’s microwave and millimeter wave transceivers (mm-Wave) and broadband modems support multi-gigabit-per-second data speeds. These complete microwave and mm-Wave solutions enable up to 10Gbps throughput over existing coax. The single-chip, microwave backhaul RF transceivers can receive signals over the entire microwave backhaul frequency spectrum of 6GHz to 44GHz.
