The PEF22628E SHDSL transceiver is fully compliant to ETSI (SHDSL, SHDSL.bis), ITU (G.shdsl, G.shdls.bis, G.hs, g.998.2/g.bond) and IEEE (EFM) standards. The PEF22628E even provides options to go far beyond the standards to address extended bandwidth requirements of up to 30Mbps over 2-pair bonded lines.

Advanced system functionality, outstanding performance, industrial temperature range, optimized board-space and power-saving features as well as its unique rate/reach performance makes it the product of choice in a diversified field of applications ranging from business broadband access, to enterprise networks and industrial communications. The PEF22628E is also the perfect replacement technology for legacy products like ISDN or even T1/E1 that have higher bandwidth requirements, or it can be used as a reach extender for various TDM and packet-based transmission technologies (e.g. Ethernet reach extender).
A growing number of industrial applications rely on SHDSL as a robust low-latency long-reach communication technology such as surveillance cameras, vending machines, public displays, infotainment systems, traffic control, sense & control applications. SHDSL, sometimes referred to as Metro Ethernet, EFM, Long Reach Ethernet or IP/Ethernet Access, is the technology of choice for applications using long copper loops.
