The MxL9203 is a quad linear optical modulator driver that supports 100Gbps, 200Gbps, or 400Gbps optical transmission systems. The MxL9203 has differential inputs and single-ended outputs, and is housed in a 14mm x 9.1mm x 2.1mm surface mount package.

The device includes four channels of high-performance wideband amplifiers with input equalization, analog control, MGC or AGC, and integrated broadband bias tees. The MxL9203 provides system/ subsystem designers with key features such as ultra low-power dissipation, high voltage drive capability, high linearity, and low output jitter for metro and long-haul applications. The module is lead-free and RoHS-compliant.

  • Integrated broadband bias tees
  • Low additive jitter
  • Low-power dissipation (5W total @ 5Vpp Vout)
  • Excellent linearity (THD = 4% @ 6Vpp Vout)
  • Programmable input gain equalization
  • Integrated AGC/MGC
  • Up to 6Vpp output swing in linear mode
  • Differential input/single-ended output

  • 100Gbps linear DP-QPSK (Nyquist shaping) for long-haul/metro applications
  • 200Gbps/400Gbps linear DP-16QAM for metro applications
